ZEQUANOX
If you've ever even been near a zebra mussel you would know how big of a pain they are. They ruin everything and just make life hard(trying to keep this PG.) Anyway most people resort to chlorene to deal with them but not only is this horrible for the rest of the species living in those habitats it also isn't very effective. The other method that some people try is UV lighting. This is more effective than the chlorene method but it is extremely expensive.
So the clear solution is we meed a product that combines the cheapness of the chlorene and the effectiveness of the UV lighting. Guess what there IS a product like this! Name:
Zequanox is a natural substance made up of a dead phytoplanktonic species which just so happens to be one of the main food groups for zebra mussels. This works because the zebra mussels don't expect it to be harmful so they eat it without a secind thought unlike the chlorene where they sense it. Once this is in there system it becomes extremely lethal killing them off quickly. This may seem far fetched but it has been tested in Christmas Lake Minnesota and was extremely successful killing off pretty much the entire population of zebra mussels without any harm to the other species.
More companies/ enviromentalists should be using this product but they're not. We believe that this should be used in evry zebra mussel infested lake, pond ,or river. We need to get the word out. Read more about ZEQUANOX here:
